Re-certification Information

CERTIFIED PRETRIAL SERVICES PROFESSIONALS! If you became certified in 2007 or before, your certification will expire in 2010. You will need to be recertified in 2010 to maintain your certification." Don't let your certification expire! Please click here for details.

Becoming Certified on Level One involves qualifying in occupational experience, education, the person’s current position, and passing an examination. Once an individual has become certified, she or he continues in that status for three years. To maintain Certification status, CPSPs must be re-certified before the three-year period expires. This requires an applicant meeting the qualifying criteria concerning his/her current position, and acquiring 25 Continuing Education (CE) hours. The applicant must submit documentation that the CPSP has obtained the requisite 25 Continuing Education Hours.

For those attending this year's Conference, please know that the 25 continuing education hours required for recertification can be satisfied if you attended all events of the conference. If you did not attend all of the events, you can count those that you did attend. You must complete the re-certification Application Forms
